**Job Title**: Housekeeping Supervisor

**Job Summary**:
The Housekeeping Supervisor in a hospital is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This role involves supervising housekeeping staff, implementing cleaning protocols, and maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Supervision and Leadership:

- Directly supervise housekeeping staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance.
- Provide leadership and motivation to the team, ensuring a positive and efficient work environment.
- Schedule and assign tasks to housekeeping personnel based on workload and priorities.

2. Cleaning Protocols:

- Develop and implement cleaning protocols to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the hospital.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety guidelines.
- Regularly inspect and evaluate the cleanliness of patient rooms, common areas, offices, and other hospital facilities.

3. Inventory Management:

- Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective replenishment of supplies.

4. Training and Education:

- Conduct training sessions for housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and infection control measures.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and communicate changes to the team.

7. Budget Management:

- Assist in the development and management of the housekeeping budget.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and safety standards.

8. Emergency Response:

- Participate in emergency response procedures, ensuring the housekeeping team is prepared to handle urgent situations.
- Coordinate with other departments during emergency situations to maintain a safe environment.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or a degree in a related field is preferred.
**- Diploma/Bachelors in Sanitary Inspection**
- Proven experience in housekeeping or environmental services, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and hospital cleaning standards.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Familiarity with budget management and inventory control.
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.

NOTE: MUST HAVE HOSPITAL FIELD EXPERIENCE
