**Roles and Responsibilities:
**Strategizing and Planning
- Ensure that an appropriate design tools, software and resources are available to achieve TEAM businesses drivers.
- Present Technical advancement, update in existing methods, process, procedures, standards and other rules and regulations to the management. Prepare necessary budget for annual investment.
- To adopt the technological changes in designing, project engineering, for accuracy in design and timely delivery of design to customers and release for manufacturing.

**Mechanical Design and Detailed Engineering
- Study and understand the customer data sheets, specification and standards.
- Complete the mechanical design calculations using PV Elite, HTRI, Nozzle PRO and Code-calc and detailed engineering to estimation for submitting competitive estimation and proposal to customers in preorder stage and design the equipment, check and release drawings for manufacturing after obtaining an approval from the customers.

**Obtaining Customer Approval
- Coordinate for approval of design documents from customers / clients, Authorised Inspector (AI), Professional Engineers (PE), Indian Boiler Regulations (IBR) competent person, petroleum & Explosive Safety Organizations (PESO) as applicable to proceed for manufacturing.

**Materials take-off
- Design, Check and release of materials take-off for long lead items such as plates, forgings, tubes, fittings, pipes, and gaskets.

**Design Change Request and Change Review
- Technically review the design change request from the manufacturing, quality and execution team and approve as appropriate without deviating the customer specification, codes, and standards.

**Resolving Technical Queries
- Understand the customer specification and meeting the Codes requirement, standards and procedures to resolve the queries raised by the customers.

**Change Claims - Post Orders changes by customers **.
- Review the design change request raised by internal departments, necessary change claim should be discussed with the customers, prepare, and submit the claim with the customers.
- Review the post order requirements from the customers, make calculations, prepare the design.
- Prepare necessary change claim for the post order changes by customers. Ensure the change claims are approved and share shared with the PMO team

**Inputs to Procurement
- Timely issue of TDC - Technical Delivery Condition to PPC and Purchase for material procurement.

**Post Drawing Documentation
- Issue of Transport sketch before 2 months from the date of dispatch.
- Submission of Weld map and final As-Built drawing within 5 days from the date of drawing submission.

**ASME and other Audits
- Prepare, update and implement ASME requirements for audit. Follow guidelines for the design, fabrication, inspection and testing as required.

**Team management
- Performance review for continual improvement
- Encourage team to take up challenging tasks
- Offer coaching support to the team
- Support team in developing career path and IDPs
- Develop successors to the critical/key roles
- To conduct periodic departmental meetings to foster oneness and commitment to the vision/goals.

**Relationship Management
- Protects the interests of stake holders and maintain healthy networking with all the stake holders (E.g., Customers/Suppliers/ / Employees / Shareholders /Society/ Auditors / Third Parties / Statutory authorities / Bankers / Government etc.)
- Internal coordinates
- with all the internal functions.
- Take opportunities to demonstrate the reliability and ethics, honoring commitments and demonstrating high standards of behavior
- Establishes a climate where ideas are openly exchanged.
