Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Housekeeping Supervisor
- Ensures that every single room is maintained as per best hospitality standards.
- Supervises the duties and tasks of laundry staff.
- Stocks and maintains supply rooms; orders supplies according to a budget.
- Receives, processes, and handles guest complaints in regard to housekeeping services.
- Ensures that rooms and common areas are kept clean and free from hazards.
- Assists guests or patients with questions and basic requests.
- Provides a high level of customer service at all times; remains professional.
- Responsible for training for all relevant staff.
- Possesses the ability to manage a team of housekeepers effectively.
- Demonstrates organizational skills required for ensuring that tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Shows basic budgeting skills and the ability to keep cleaning supplies and equipment stocked according to a budget.
- Is able to provide management with timely reports regarding tasks and goals.
- Shows basic computer knowledge for the purposes of scheduling, record keeping and more.
- Is responsible for uniform and inventory stocks and is able to manage them effectively.
