21 Knots was set up in India in 2014 and currently operates in India, Singapore, and UAE through local subsidiaries.

As a Naval Architect at 21knots, you will be responsible for the following

**What you'll do**
- Ownership and end-to-end management of all marine basic design projects at 21 Knots, regular project monitoring through team meetings.
- Review of naval architectural calculations, including intact and damage stability calculations, towing and bollard pull calculations, sea fastening calculations and Class rule-based scantling calculations.
- Performing hull form design, seakeeping analysis, mooring calculations and DP capability analysis.
- Concept design for vessel conversion feasibilities and vessel upgradations.
- Leading teams of Naval Architects and Structural Engineers.
- Client interactions for basic design projects and business development projects.

**What you'll need**
- 3+ years of experience in marine project management, marine design and ship construction/repairs.
- Well-versed with ship hull form development, intact and damage stability calculations, and seakeeping analysis.
- Working knowledge of FEA, CFD and other advanced engineering methodologies
- Experience in rule-based structural scantling calculations, finite element-based structural analysis and structural design principles.
- Good understanding of Classification Society rules (ABS, DNV, LR, IRS) and general requirements of SOLAS, MARPOL, Tonnage, and DGS.
- Overall experience in ship design covering all aspects including basic design, hull forms, structural, electrical, machinery and outfitting etc.
- Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Naval Architecture with good aptitude in basic engineering design principles.

**Salary**: ₹400,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
