Job Description:Key Responsibilities:
- **Design and Development**:
- Develop designs for new ships, boats, submarines, or offshore structures based on client specifications and regulatory standards.
- Use CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and other engineering software to create detailed blueprints and models of vessels.
- Conduct research and analysis to determine the most effective design solutions, considering factors like buoyancy, stability, propulsion, and resistance.
- **Structural Analysis**:
- Perform structural and stress analysis to ensure the vessel can withstand harsh marine environments and heavy loads.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and international maritime standards.
- Evaluate materials and structures for strength, durability, and efficiency.
- **Regulatory Compliance**:
- Ensure that designs meet all relevant national and international regulations (e.g., SOLAS, MARPOL).
- Prepare technical documentation and reports for regulatory bodies and classification societies (such as Lloyd’s Register, ABS, etc.).
- **Project Management**:
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (e.g., mechanical, electrical, civil) to coordinate the overall design and construction process.
- Work with project managers to ensure that design and construction phases are on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- **Construction Oversight**:
- Oversee the construction of vessels to ensure that the design is being followed accurately.
- Address technical issues and make modifications as necessary during the construction phase.
- **Testing and Evaluation**:
- Perform sea trials and other performance testing to evaluate the functionality and safety of the vessel.
- Analyze test results and recommend modifications as required.
- **Maintenance and Repair**:
- Provide support for the maintenance and repair of existing vessels and marine structures.
- Recommend design improvements based on the vessel’s operational performance and feedback from clients.
Skills and Qualifications:
- **Education**: A bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (such as Chartered Engineer status) may be required for senior roles.
- **Technical Skills**:
- Proficiency in CAD and other marine design software.
- Knowledge of fluid dynamics, hydrodynamics, structural analysis, and material science.
- Understanding of propulsion systems and electrical systems in marine vessels.
- **Problem-Solving**: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex engineering challenges.
- **Attention to Detail**: Precision in design and construction, ensuring that safety, efficiency, and environmental considerations are prioritized.
- **Communication**: Ability to clearly communicate technical information to clients, team members, and regulatory authorities.
- **Project Management**: Ability to manage timelines, resources, and multidisciplinary teams effectively.
Work Environment:
- Naval architects may work in offices, research labs, or shipyards.
- The job may involve travel to shipyards or offshore platforms, particularly during construction or maintenance phases.
- It may also involve working with teams from various countries, requiring international collaboration.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
