Food Technologist

Food technologist is required at Wellversed Health for the specific purpose of researching and developing new products and creating food product compositions that work in an industrial process.

**Responsibilities**:
The person should be able to plan the manufacturing of food and drink products and will work in a production plant setting. Specific responsibilities vary greatly but will include:
1. Conducting literature reviews to stay updated on the latest research and trends in the food industry.

2. Analyzing competitive products to identify gaps and opportunities for innovation.

3. Researching and evaluating ingredients for potential use in product development.

4. Identifying cost-saving opportunities and optimize product margins by optimizing ingredients, processes, and formulations without compromising quality and safety.

5. Identifying and onboarding reliable vendors for ingredient sourcing.

6. Studying methods and technologies to improve food quality, including flavor, color, texture, and nutritional value.

7. Creating compositions for new products and participating in product renovation projects.

8. Ensuring compliance with nutritional labeling regulations set by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).

9. Conducting sensory analysis to evaluate product attributes and consumer preferences.

10. Developing quality control checklists to maintain consistent product standards.

11. Collaborating with the production team to create pilot batches of new products.

12. Collecting and analyzing consumer feedback to drive product improvements. Assessing consumer feedback scores and ratings to gauge the quality and acceptance of products in the market.

13. Facilitating cross-functional coordination with the brands team to align R&D activities with brand strategies and objectives.

**Requirements**:
1. 2+years of Full-Time Experience in Food Technology or related fields.

2. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel/Google Sheets.

3. Technical skills with a strong understanding of new product development (NPD) processes.

4. Relevant degree in Food Technology, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Nutrition or Doctorate.

5. Deep knowledge of research methodologies and the ability to obtain focused results.

6. Learnability, flexibility, and adaptability to quickly grasp new concepts and adapt to changing project requirements.

7. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

8. Good communication skills (preferred).
