**Responsibilities & Key Deliverables**
- As a DGM - Indirect Procurement at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, you will be responsible for developing strategic sourcing initiatives and ensuring cost-effective procurement processes.Your key deliverables will include:

**Category Strategy Development**:Develop, implement, and continuously refine a comprehensive procurement strategy for the Travel and Hospitality category to maximize value, quality, and efficiency. Drive spend optimization initiatives, leveraging market trends and best practices in travel and hospitality procurement.

**Supplier Management and Negotiation**:Identify, evaluate, and select preferred suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and service quality. Negotiate and manage high-value contracts, terms, and service-level agreements (SLAs) with hotel chains, travel agencies, airlines, and other hospitality providers.

**Stakeholder Collaboration**:Work closely with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and executive leadership, to align category strategies with overall business goals. Act as the primary point of contact for travel and hospitality procurement needs, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction and continuous improvement.

**Team Leadership and Development**:Manage and mentor a team of 2-3 direct reports, promoting a high-performance culture and fostering skill development. Oversee team performance, provide constructive feedback, and develop team members to support career growth.

**Data Analysis and Reporting**:Use data-driven insights to inform procurement strategies and demonstrate ROI. Track, analyze, and report on category performance, including spend, savings, and supplier performance metrics.
- **Experience**
- 8 - 12 years of experience in the hospitality industry, ideally with a blend of expertise in senior sales or account management roles at major hotel chains, with a strong focus on MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) and corporate transport solutions. Familiarity with managing group bookings, event services, and ground transportation partnerships is essential. Previous procurement or category management experience is a plus.
- In-depth understanding of the MICE sector, including key drivers of event success, vendor selection criteria, and cost structures. Strong knowledge of transport logistics, including ground and corporate travel solutions, to support large-scale meetings, conferences, and corporate events.
- Previous procurement or category management experience is preferred.

**Industry Preferred**
- Knowledge of procurement best practices, market trends, and industry regulations will be advantageous in this role.
- **Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Hospitality Management, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is a plus.
