Edzy is a fast-growing gamified AI tutor for CBSE and NCERT students in India. We’re looking for a practical, dedicated, and results-driven **SEO Specialist** to help us grow our online visibility, improve search rankings, and strengthen our brand authority.

**Key Responsibilities**

**1. On-Page SEO & Technical Optimization**
- Conduct regular **SEO audits** to identify issues and opportunities.
- Perform **technical SEO assessments** including site speed, crawlability, mobile usability, and indexation health.
- Optimize **meta tags, headings (H1/H2/H3), schema markup, internal linking**, and structured data.
- Ensure compliance with **Core Web Vitals** and implement Google Search Console recommendations.

**2. Backlink Acquisition & Off-Page SEO**
- **Generate high-quality backlinks** daily from relevant, authoritative websites.
- Identify and collaborate with industry blogs, media outlets, and niche platforms for guest posting and link placements.
- Monitor backlink quality and remove/disavow toxic links when necessary.

**3. Content Publishing & Brand Awareness**
- Publish **SEO-optimized articles** on Edzy’s blog and partner platforms.
- Create and post **short-form content** (LinkedIn posts, Quora answers, microblogs) to boost brand visibility.
- Collaborate with the content team to ensure articles are optimized for SEO and align with trending topics.

**4. Content Optimization for SEO**
- Optimize **keyword usage, titles, headings, descriptions**, and URLs across all content.
- Add and refine **alt tags** for all images and ensure proper file naming conventions.
- Compress images/files for faster loading while maintaining quality.
- Regularly update and repurpose older content for better rankings.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in **SEO** (on-page, off-page, and technical).
- Proficiency in SEO tools such as **Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz**, etc.
- Strong understanding of **keyword research, link-building**, and **content optimization** best practices.
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for on-page implementation is a plus.
- Data-driven mindset with analytical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

**Preferred Skills**
- Experience with **content marketing** and **digital PR**.
- Familiarity with **local SEO** and Google Business Profile optimization.
- Knowledge of **AI tools** for SEO automation and keyword research.
- Experience publishing content on **Next.js, WordPress, or Webflow** CMS.
