**Job Title**: Staff Nurse - CT-OT (Cardio Thoracic Operating Theater)

**Position Overview**: The Staff Nurse for CT-OT holds a critical role in the Cardio Thoracic Operating Theater, ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient, and compassionate nursing care to patients undergoing cardiothoracic surgical procedures. The individual in this role will collaborate with the surgical team to provide comprehensive perioperative care.

**Responsibilities**:
1. **Preoperative Care**:

- Prepare patients for cardiothoracic surgical procedures, ensuring proper identification, consent, and documentation.
- Conduct preoperative assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and psychological status.
- Administer prescribed medications and interventions as part of the preoperative plan.

2. **Intraoperative Support**:

- Assist the surgical team in maintaining a sterile environment in the operating room.
- Provide support during surgery, including passing instruments, anticipating surgeon's needs, and monitoring patient responses.
- Collaborate with anesthesia providers to ensure patient safety and comfort during surgery.

3. **Postoperative Care**:

- Monitor patients in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) or recovery room.
- Assess and manage postoperative complications, ensuring a smooth transition to the critical care unit or general ward.
- Administer postoperative medications and interventions as prescribed.

4. **Collaboration and Communication**:

- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing updates on the patient's condition and addressing any concerns.
- Coordinate with other nursing staff to ensure continuity of care across the perioperative period.

5. **Documentation and Compliance**:

- Maintain accurate and detailed records of perioperative care, adhering to hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the safety and effectiveness of cardiothoracic surgical services.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSc Nursing) from a recognized institution.
- Valid nursing license in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Cardio Thoracic Operating Theater (CT-OT).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of cardiothoracic surgical procedures and perioperative nursing practices.

**Salary**: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
