The Restaurant Kitchen Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the proper operation of all kitchen equipment and appliances. This role plays a critical part in ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen environment, minimizing downtime, and supporting a high standard of food preparation and service.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Equipment Maintenance & Repair**:

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on all kitchen equipment, including ovens, stoves, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, mixers, and other appliances.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical or electrical issues with kitchen appliances and resolve problems efficiently.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is in compliance with safety regulations and health standards.
- **Preventive Maintenance**:

- Schedule and perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure long-term reliability.
- Track maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of service requests to minimize downtime in the kitchen.
- **Installation & Setup**:

- Assist in the installation, setup, and calibration of new kitchen equipment, ensuring proper functioning from the outset.
- Collaborate with vendors or contractors during equipment installation or major repairs.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Inspect and maintain gas lines, electrical systems, and ventilation systems to ensure they meet safety codes.
- **Inventory & Spare Parts Management**:

- Keep an inventory of all kitchen equipment and tools, ensuring spare parts are readily available when needed.
- Order and maintain stock of spare parts, cleaning supplies, and necessary equipment as required.
- **Troubleshooting Support**:

- Respond to urgent issues and equipment breakdowns promptly to minimize kitchen disruption.
- Provide technical support and advice to kitchen staff on using equipment safely and efficiently.
- **Collaboration & Communication**:

- Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen staff to understand equipment needs and ensure functionality for food production.
- Communicate effectively with restaurant management regarding any equipment issues that could affect daily operations.
- **Documentation & Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and any incidents affecting kitchen operations.
- Provide regular reports on the status of kitchen equipment and any necessary repairs or replacements to management.
