A Safety Officer's primary responsibility is to ensure a safe and healthy work environment by implementing safety protocols, policies, and procedures.

1. Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment:

- Identifying potential hazards in the workplace.
- Assessing the risks associated with those hazards.
- Developing strategies to mitigate or eliminate risks.

2. Policy and Procedure Development:

- Creating and implementing safety policies and procedures.
- Ensuring policies align with local, state and National Standards
- Updating policies as needed to reflect changes in regulations or organizational needs.

3. Training and Education:

- Conducting safety training for employees on various topics, including hazard recognition, emergency procedures, and safe work practices.
- Communicating safety information and promoting a culture of safety.

4. Compliance and Enforcement:

- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Conducting regular inspections and audits to identify non-compliance.
- Enforcing safety rules and procedures when necessary.

5. Accident Investigation:

- Investigating workplace incidents to determine the root cause.
- Preparing reports and implementing corrective actions to prevent similar incidents from happening.

6. Emergency Management:

- Developing and implementing emergency response plans.
- Conducting drills and training to prepare employees for emergencies.

7. Other Responsibilities:

- Addressing employee concerns about safety.
- Ensuring the proper labeling and storage of hazardous substances.
- Monitoring contractor safety.
- Communicating with management and other stakeholders about safety matters

Qualification Requirements : Any degree + IOSH or NEBOSH certifications

Experience : Minimum 5 years experience working as a Safety Officer in the construction industry ( with Builders / Contractors etc).

Knowledge & Skills : Familiar with all the construction safety standards/ Knowledge of safety regulations / ability to train operatives / make incident reports & Safety Auditing etc.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
