**About Us**:
Seva Sadan is a 116 year-old non-profit organisation located at Gamdevi, Mumbai. We are registered as a Trust and run by an elected Managing Committee who works voluntarily. The services we offer include a Residential Home for underprivileged girls (ages 8 to 18), schools in Marathi, and English medium and Skill Development Courses.

**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sewing Class Teacher with expertise in using contemporary and modern sewing machines.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Teach tailoring techniques using both manual and electric/modern sewing machines like Zoje and Singer
- Develop and update the tailoring curriculum, integrating modern garment construction techniques.
- Provide hands-on training in sewing, pattern making, fabric cutting, and garment finishing and sample making.
- Guide students through the use of modern tools and machines, ensuring they are proficient with current industry standards.
- Assess students’ skills and provide individualized feedback to enhance their learning.
- Prepare students for job opportunities in the garment industry by incorporating industry-relevant skills.
- Ensure a safe and productive classroom environment, maintaining sewing machines and equipment.

**Qualifications**:

- Looking for Sewing Instructor with a vast experience of minimum 10 years in Sewing techniques.
- Proficiency in operating contemporary and modern sewing machines (including electric and industrial models).
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, and fabric types.
- Have a knowledge to operate Automatic Machines like Single Thread Machine, Three Thread Machine, Trimmer Lockstitch Machine, 5 Thread Flatlock Machine and Motorised sewing Machine.
- Ability to teach and manage students with varying levels of experience.
- Patience, creativity, and strong communication skills.

- **Salary will commensurate with experience**

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 28 per week
