The Safety Officer is responsible for promoting a culture of safety and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal transportation safety regulations. This position involves evaluating current safety procedures, conducting inspections and audits, training staff, investigating incidents, and implementing programs that reduce risks and enhance the safe operation of vehicles, facilities, and personnel.
- Monitor compliance with occupational health and safety guidelines and transportation regulations (e.g., FMCSA, DOT, OSHA).
- Conduct routine safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments for vehicles, equipment, and facilities.
- Develop, implement, and update company safety policies and procedures.
- Lead incident investigations, determine root causes, and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
- Deliver training programs on topics such as defensive driving, hazardous materials, accident prevention, and emergency response.
- Maintain and manage records of safety training, vehicle inspections, accidents, and violations.
- Prepare and submit safety performance reports to management and regulatory agencies.
- Participate in internal and external safety audits and work with regulatory authorities as required.
- Promote safety awareness across all levels of the organization.
- Respond to safety concerns and provide guidance to employees on safety best practices.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Transportation Management, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of safety experience in the transportation or logistics industry.
- Knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and other relevant regulations.
- Certifications such as CSP, CHST, or OSHA 30-hour preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management systems (SMS).

Pay: From ₹30,000.00 per month
