Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:

- **Teaching and Curriculum Delivery**:

- Teach Tamil language and literature to students at different levels (Primary, Middle, and Senior School).
- Follow the CBSE curriculum, ensuring all prescribed topics and standards are covered.
- Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate lessons and activities to enhance language proficiency.
- Develop and conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Use a variety of teaching methods, including traditional, multimedia, and project-based learning to engage students.
- **Classroom Management**:

- Create a positive, disciplined, and respectful classroom environment that encourages learning.
- Ensure students’ active participation and encourage them to express their ideas confidently in Tamil.
- Address student queries and difficulties with patience and understanding.
- **Assessment and Evaluation**:

- Design and conduct periodic tests, assignments, and projects to assess student understanding.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate this with parents during PTMs (Parent-Teacher Meetings).
- Monitor students’ academic growth and provide support for those needing extra help.
- **Cultural and Extracurricular Engagement**:

- Encourage students to explore Tamil culture, including literature, history, and traditions.
- Participate in school events and extracurricular activities related to Tamil language and culture (e.g., cultural programs, literary festivals, debates).
- **Professional Development**:

- Continuously update knowledge of the Tamil language, literature, and teaching methods.
- Participate in workshops, training programs, and other professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
- **Collaborative Activities**:

- Collaborate with fellow teachers to integrate Tamil language skills in interdisciplinary learning.
- Communicate regularly with the school management and other teaching staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience.

Qualifications:

- **Educational Qualification**:

- Bachelor's degree in Tamil (BA Tamil) or Master's degree (MA Tamil).
- B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) or equivalent teaching qualification is preferred.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience as a Tamil language teacher, preferably in CBSE schools.
- Experience teaching Tamil from primary to senior secondary classes is an advantage.
- **Skills and Competencies**:

- Proficient in spoken and written Tamil.
- Knowledge of CBSE curriculum and pedagogy.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Ability to motivate and engage students in learning Tamil.
- Familiarity with digital tools and technologies used in teaching.
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for language teaching.

Preferred:

- Familiarity with the CBSE guidelines and examination patterns.
- Experience in using modern teaching aids and tools (e.g., smartboards, e-learning platforms).
- Interest in Tamil culture, literature, and history.
