**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat OpenShift clusters, including the underlying virtualization platform and associated storage solutions.**
- **Administer and monitor the health, performance, and security of the OpenShift environment, including nodes, pods, and services.**
- **Design and implement strategies for deployment scaling, redundancy, high-availability, and disaster recovery.**
- **Automate routine tasks through scripting and the use of automation tools like Ansible, Jenkins, or similar.**
- **Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system installations, configurations, upgrades, and best practices.**
- **Resolve complex issues involving the infrastructure, including root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.**
- **Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures, including regular system updates and patches.**
- **Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning to optimize the virtualization environment for operational efficiency.**
- **Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.**
- **Stay current with the latest developments in OpenShift, Kubernetes, and containerization technologies.**
- **Provide technical support and training to IT staff and end-users when necessary.**
- **Participate in an on-call rotation and provide off-hours support as needed.**
- **Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems across the organization, while ensuring optimal performance.**

***Basic Requirements**:
**Qualifications**:

- **Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.**
- **Minimum of 3 years of experience in administering Red Hat OpenShift and virtualization technologies.**
- **Strong understanding of Kubernetes and container orchestration.**
- **Proficiency in virtualization platforms such as Red Hat Virtualization (RHV), VMware, or KVM.**
- **Experience with automation/configuration management using Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or similar.**
- **Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control systems like Git.**
- **Knowledge of Linux/Unix administration and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python).**
- **Experience with monitoring solutions like Prometheus, Grafana, or Nagios.**
- **Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.**
- **Excellent verbal and written communication skills.**
- **Preferred certifications: Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration, Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or other relevant certifications.**
