**Job Title - Principal - Systems Administrator**

As of today, this group manages 70+ Petabyte of storage also supports the infrastructure backups and take care the day-to-day operation work end to end.

**The Purpose of this Role**

The identified resource will need to be capable enough to handle the storage and backup technology and in constant verbal and written contact with key stakeholders and peers in India and U.S. The resource is expected to attend weekly staff meetings, where they will be expected to engage in technical discussions.

As a Storage / Backup Administrator he/she will be responsible for Day-to-day Operations tasks like Incident, Change & Problem management within the Storage & Data protection operation. He/she will also be part of critical project deliveries in Block, File & Object and Data Protection space. The associate will also be responsible for daily operational tasks like provisioning, deallocation, Storage migration & also DR support activity which also involves resolving service request tickets within a defined SLA. Within the Data protection space, he/she will monitor the backup jobs and take proactive steps to ensure 100% success rate, client, media agent and Comm-server upgrade and patch updates, backup and restore requests. He/she should possess strong crisis management skills to drive bridge calls and exhibit skills as a strong shift lead as well.

**The Skills that are Key to this role**

**Technical / **Behavioral**
- Working knowledge of storage subsystems and Block/SAN Infrastructure is a must.
- Knowledge of any NAS product (NetApp) is highly preferred.
- Good working knowledge on SAN switches
- Knowledge on Commvault & Hyperscale (preferred) or any backup software is must.
- Administrative knowledge of one or more operating systems (Linux is preferred)
- Basic hands-on with Ansible/Python
- Good verbal and written communication

**The Skills that are Good to Have for this role.**
- Knowledge of any Unix flavour is an added advantage.
- Knowledge on any scripting languages (Ansible/Python).
- Basic knowledge on Cloud technology**.**
