As an **Operation Theater Technician**, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our operation theaters. You will collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other medical staff to maintain a safe and sterile environment during surgical procedures. Your expertise and attention to detail will be pivotal in facilitating successful surgical outcomes and improving patient care.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and set up the operation theater before surgical procedures, ensuring all required equipment and instruments are available and sterile.
- Assist the surgical team in donning sterile gowns and gloves and maintaining a sterile field during surgeries.
- Handle and maintain surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring proper sterilization and adherence to infection control protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs during surgeries and inform the medical team of any changes or concerns.
- Assist in patient positioning and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide prompt support during emergencies or unexpected situations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with surgical equipment, liaising with the appropriate departments for repairs or replacements.
- Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures, equipment usage, and sterilization processes.
- Collaborate with the central supply department to restock and replenish operation theater supplies and ensure their availability.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in operation theater technology and procedures, contributing to the continuous improvement of our surgical services.

**Requirements**:

- Must have completed diploma or certification in Operation Theater Technology or a related field such as nursing or medical assisting from a recognized institution. Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology (Operation Theater) shall be preferred.
- Certification from Medical Council of India or National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA) is also preferred for your appointment as OT Technician with us.
- Proven experience as an Operation Theater Technician, demonstrating proficiency in assisting surgical procedures and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and sterilization techniques for surgical instruments and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, enabling effective collaboration with medical staff.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Commitment to patient safety and delivering compassionate care.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- They should also have good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the surgical team.
