**About Us**

Homes & Buildings, powered by CREDAI-MCHI, is one of India's leading real estate news and lifestyle platforms. We are seeking a **results-driven SEO Expert** to take charge of on-site and off-site SEO strategies for our WordPress-powered portal, which serves over 300,000 daily readers. You’ll work closely with editorial and tech teams to grow organic traffic and visibility.

**Key Responsibilities**

**SEO Strategy & Implementation**
- Plan and execute SEO strategies to improve keyword rankings, organic traffic, and crawlability.
- Conduct **technical SEO audits** for WordPress and coordinate fixes with developers.
- Manage and optimize **XML sitemaps, robots.txt, schema markup**, and Core Web Vitals.

**Content SEO**
- Collaborate with journalists/editors to optimize headlines, content structure, and metadata.
- Research high-volume, relevant keywords for news and long-form content.
- Implement **on-page SEO best practices** using tools like Yoast, Rank Math, or SEOPress.

**Analytics & Reporting**
- Monitor performance using Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, and Ahrefs/SEMrush.
- Generate weekly reports on keyword positions, CTR, bounce rate, and page indexing.
- Identify declining pages and recommend updates or re-optimizations.

**Off-Page SEO & Visibility**
- Build high-quality backlinks through outreach and collaborations.
- Manage local SEO, brand mentions, and content syndication.

**Site Maintenance & Plugin Management**
- Maintain SEO health of the WordPress CMS, including plugins, speed optimization, and mobile responsiveness.
- Troubleshoot indexing issues, AMP errors, and site-wide SEO flags.

**Qualifications & Skills**
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in **WordPress SEO** (preferably with high-traffic media/news websites).
- Deep knowledge of **Google SEO algorithms**, **E-E-A-T**, and content indexing.
- Proficient in tools like Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog.
- Working understanding of **HTML, CSS, and WordPress theme structures**.
- Strong collaboration skills to work with content, design, and tech teams.
- Bonus: Familiarity with keywords and search behaviour in India.
