**Job Purpose**:
Implement HSE agenda across IPD while complying with statutory requirements in safety to maintain high standards of HSE in order to minimize the risk to employees, property and impact on environment
**Key Accountabilities (1/6)**:
**Prevent unsafe incidences across IPD to ensure employees and stakeholder’s safety**
- Review the Existing PPE and check the safety equipment with different vendors for Quality and cost
- Provide new safety equipment training to users
- Execute day to day HSE Activities such as plant safety inspection, HSE review, checking work permits, taking observations, and near miss reporting etc.
- Execute the HAZOP study, Hazard Identification and risk Assessment, Environment Aspect and Impact Assessment, plant unit operation study as per the process change and requirements
- Follow-up and physical check with vendors for the monthly maintenance of the firefighting equipment, fire protection and detection system
- Review and check Safety Qualification of Equipment/ Changes in the plant
**Key Accountabilities (2/6)**:
**Ensure awareness of HSE across IPD to avoid unsafe actions/ working conditions**
- Schedule and impart internal HSE training to management staff & contractors
- Schedule and conduct safety committee meeting quarterly and monitor closure of safety committee recommendations
- Develop and implement Safety Instructions and SOPs
- Design, arrange and display HSE promotional material for creating awareness
- Organise HSE promotional Days - Like NSW, Fire service week, Road safety week etc.
- Organise the External HSE Trainings
- Prepare, display and circulate monthly safety news letter
**Key Accountabilities (3/6)**:
**Maintain emergency preparedness across IPD to reduce impact of Incidences to human and property**
- Conduct Mock drills and implement recommendations
- Conduct the HSE review and execute closure of CAPA of HSE review points against the accident/ incident, unsafe condition and near miss
- Coordinate with external agencies for timely calibration, monitoring and inspection of the safety equipment as per the schedule
**Drive safety statutory compliance by monitoring legal registers and **liaison with government authorities for smooth activities**
- Perform statutory requirements of safety compliance through tracking as per Compliance Manager Tool at owner level (Level 1)
- Adopt to changes in statutory requirements by updating safety SOPs and procedures
- Maintain readiness of facility & documentation related to each audit (ISO & OHSAS & GMP audit) though guidelines and checklists and following up on actions plan for closure
- Close recommendations from audits, Investigations etc. to ensure compliance
- Conduct internal audits as per schedule
**Key Accountabilities (4/6)**:
**Environment**
- Manage an environmental sustainable plan to minimize the impact on operations and ensure statutory compliance for smooth functioning.
- Plan and execute operation and maintenance as discussed with the head environment to ensure environmental sustainability and achieve cost control
- Comply with the consent condition to fulfil the statutory requirements
- Maintenance of documentation required as per the guidelines to ensure compliance
- Execute new project works as per the plan to meet timelines and have no delay in production
**Key Accountabilities (5/6)**:
**Deliver Environment related Statutory Compliance**
- File legal compliance, Cess return, Submission of Form IV, Form V, Form XIII, MoEF statement
- Coordinate with MoEF approved monitoring agencies, Service engineers, MPCB and MIDC for fulfilling statutory requirements
- Provide authorisation of hazardous waste management for proper disposal
- File manifest to MPCB online
**Operations & Management of Environment Protection Equipment : [ETP; SRP ; EMISSION MONITING & CONTROL SYSTEM; DIGITAL DISPLAYS]**
- Monitor smooth operation of ETP, UF, RO, MEE, VTFD, Decanter, Volute, Anaerobic Digester, SRP etc. and ensure it runs 365 days
- Ensure that consumables and spares are available as per requirements and create CERs
- Monitor handling, segregation and disposal of E1 and E2 waste and in-plant generated hazardous waste, as per regulatory guidelines
- Decreases the operational cost by minimise the chemical consumption and manpower
**Key Accountabilities (6/6)**:
**Hazardous Waste Management**
- Implement processes to ensure all the regulatory requirements related to HWM, Battery and E-Waste Management are complied.
- Proper segregation storage of all types of HW and other wastes.
- Routine inspections to ensure upkeep of HW stores.
- Ensure safe practices in handling of HW.
- Track the generation under various categories and timely escalation for control, enhancement of permissions based on futuristic review.
