**Food Service Assistant Job Duties**

Food service assistants have a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:

- Maintaining the cleanliness of work areas such as kitchens, dining rooms, and pantries by performing basic cleaning tasks such as sweeping and mopping floors, washing dishes, or emptying trash cans
- Pouring coffee, making coffee, and brewing tea for customers in cafes or restaurants
- Washing dishes, glasses, silverware, pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils in a dishwashing machine or by hand
- Preparing and serving food to customers by following recipes and preparing ingredients according to the chef’s instructions
- Performing basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, stirring soup, and grilling meats
- Cleaning and restocking inventory in kitchen pantries or refrigerators by unpacking boxes and crates of food items and storing them in a neat arrangement
- Preparing specialized food items such as sushi rolls or desserts for special occasions or events
- Preparing bar drinks such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, or tea by making sure they are mixed correctly and served to customers quickly and efficiently
- Coordinating special events by working with catering staff to arrange tables, chairs, linens, and other decorations in accordance with event requirements such

**Salary**: ₹16,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
