Content Writer

The Content Writer will be responsible for creating content for our website, Intranet, newsletters, blogs, and other marketing collateral like brochures, leaflets, promotional material for events, social media posts, etc.
- Write & edit notices, Circulars, School marketing material, social media presence material, documents & other official material creating & editing.
- Write, edit and publish engaging posts for various social networks, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
- Optimize social media posts (language, tone, message) based on our target audience's
- Select appealing images and videos to complement text
- Coordinate with internal teams to create advertising posts and campaigns
- Proven work experience as a Social Media Copywriter or similar role
- Hands-on experience using various social media platforms to advertise
- Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, google ads)
- Familiarity with online paid advertising
- Ability to deliver creative web content (text, image and video)
- Excellent communication skills
- Understanding of the Indian Higher Education Sector
- Ability to write customized content across verticals - Marketing, Admissions, Outreach, Website,
- social media, internal communications.
- Strong editorial background and exceptional skill in proof reading and crating, implementing and ensuring adherence to style guides.
- Ability of develop content for different audiences.
- Ability to Produce well-researched content for publication online and in print Impeccable grammar, sentence construction and punctuation sense.
- Proven record of excellent writing demonstrated in a professional portfolio
- Impeccable grasp of the English language, including idioms and current trends in slang and expressions
- Strict adherence to the style guides of Omkar School and our policies for publication
- A strong eye for detail
- Proficiency with computers, especially writing programs, such as Google Docs and Microsoft Office tools Important soft skills required to perform optimally in this role:

- Ability to work independently with little or no daily supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with various internal and external stakeholders like faculty members, management, external partners and colleagues
- Good time management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, and adapting as necessary
- Ability to work on multiple projects with different objectives simultaneously

**Responsibilities**
- Research industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews and studies)
- Write clear marketing copy to promote our products/services
- Prepare well-structured drafts using Content Management Systems
- Proofread and edit blog posts before publication
- Submit work to editors for input and approval
- Coordinate with marketing and design teams to illustrate articles
- Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic
- Promote content on social media
- Identify customers' needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics
- Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone)
- Update website content as needed

**Education**:
