**Job Summary**:
The Data Architect will collaborate with stakeholders across departments to define data architecture principles, drive data integration initiatives, and ensure that data assets are utilized effectively and securely. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong leadership skills. This position includes the ability to address complex technical problems from our clients including solution design, solution build, performance, scalability, and deployment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement the enterprise data architecture strategy to align with organizational goals and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data needs, requirements and challenges.
- Design and oversee the implementation of data integration, storage, and retrieval solutions that ensure data accessibility, reliability, and performance.
- Lead efforts to create a unified data model that captures the organization's data assets, relationships and attributes.
- Design and implement data security measures, access controls and encryption protocols to protect sensitive data.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data architects, data engineers, and other data-related roles.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure alignment between data architecture and technology infrastructure.
- Drive data governance initiatives to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry standards.
- Research, architect, and deliver constantly expanding solutions that run on Data Virtualization stack.
- Review solutions and designs of peers, including data models and pipeline design, to provide appropriate feedback for performance optimization, supporting peers and IT partners, recommending solutions that reduce/manage risk and deliver value
- Help resolve Performance/Technical issues during implementations and migrations
- Create a consistent methodology & process to share across the global team.
- Evaluate and select appropriate data management and integration tools and technologies.
- Stay current with emerging data technologies, trends, and best practices.
- Participate in cross-functional projects that involve data strategy and architecture components.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executives.

**Qualifications**:

- 12+ years of experience in data architecture roles, with a focus on enterprise-level architecture.
- Proven experience designing and implementing complex data solutions that align with business objectives.
- Strong expertise in data modelling, data integration, data security, and data governance.
- Hands-on experience with guiding the virtual data model definition, defining Data Virtualization architecture and deployment.
- Prior experience with defining best practices for users, roles, and permissions and defining best query practices and optimizations.
- Experience with relational and non-relational data stores (Hadoop, Object Stores, Hadoop, Db2, Netezza, Mango DB, EDB), Data Lake and Data Fabric concepts
- In-depth experience with data governance, data integration and related technologies.
- Proficiency in a variety of database technologies, both relational and non-relational.
- Knowledge of cloud-based data solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Data architecture certifications (e.g., TOGAF, DAMA) are a plus.
