**Inherent skills**
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read, comprehend and explain medical reports and prescriptions in related to product/service provided
- Must be able to work and interact with diverse groups of people
- Ability and willingness to travel locally
- Detail oriented, even when faced with highly repetitive tasks
- Flexibility as necessary to meet customers’ schedules and coordinate accordingly
- Language proficiency : Regional language, English and Hindi
- Should have a patient care and empathetic mindset
- Proven teaching/counselling skills, e.g. having a recognised course like NDEP would be preferred

**Skills to acquire through training**:

- Knowledge about type 1/type 2 diabetes and its management.
- Confidently handhold patients to confidently adapt to insulin therapy
- Assess and meet the patient’s nutritional and physical activity needs
- Well trained on all the insulin products and delivery devices exists in Indian market
- Able to promote self-management to achieve individualized behavioural and treatment goals that optimize health outcomes.

**Eligibility criteria**:
Educational requirement:

- A certified diabetes educators/ Dietitians/ Nutritionist
- Graduation in Public Health, Nutrition, Nursing, Pharmacology, Occupational and Physiotherapy etc.

**Salary**: ₹18,000.00 - ₹24,000.00 per month
