Job Description:
The Quotation/Estimation Specialist prepares accurate quotes for pricing and builds estimates for special items by gathering information and analyzing its costing and margins as per directions. Possesses strong numerical skills and has an analytical mindset. Will create quotes as per request and costing using current company’s system (APP), customer drawings, other advised sources. The Quotation Specialist will report to the Manager of Estimation Department.

**Basic Requirements**:
Ability to use the available technological resource (e.g. internet, computers, software’s) to extract information.

Ability to effectively establish rapport, present information and respond to questions from managers, and clients

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables

Ability to manage and maintain several portfolios for various clients at the same time

Strong practical understanding of basic economic and pricing principles.

**Pricing Responsibilities**:

- Manage pricing process for the Sales team including assessing, approving, and loading all pricing requests.
- Review, research, and analyze pricing to make recommendations on price enhancements, rationalization.
- Work with Procurement, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Service to resolve price related issues.
- Identify opportunities to optimize profitability through pricing strategies.
- Manage data entry required to add new products, part numbers, and suppliers

**Quoting Responsibilities**:

- Secure and analyze quotations, prices, terms and contracts (if any) and make recommendations for actions with the greatest value to both the customer and the company.
- Interface with Procurement, Sales, Marketing and Customer Care departments to gather information in order to complete request for quotations.
- Process quotation requests for stock standard items and special order (customer specific) items.
- Builds estimate, and prices standard at a level that keeps our products competitive and maximizes profit at agreed margins. Modifies quotes as per requirements.
- Consistently demonstrates superior service by combining system knowledge, product and problem-solving skills to exceed customer expectations.
- Providing specialist quoting services to the branch and end user customers
- Ensure work is delivered to agreed service level
