
Fabric and Dyeing Compliance Auditor

The Fabric and Dyeing Compliance Auditor is responsible for ensuring that all fabric and dyeing processes adhere to company standards, industry regulations, and environmental and safety guidelines. This role involves conducting regular audits, inspecting dyeing and fabric production facilities, and evaluating compliance with quality, safety, and sustainability standards. The auditor will work closely with production teams, suppliers, and quality control personnel to identify areas for improvement and ensure high-quality outputs while maintaining regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Compliance Audits:
Conduct regular compliance audits at fabric and dyeing facilities to assess adherence to company standards and industry regulations.
Review dyeing and fabric production processes for compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards.
Document audit findings, report any non-compliance, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure all fabrics meet quality specifications, including color fastness, shrinkage, texture, and durability.
Evaluate dyeing processes to ensure consistent quality and color matching across batches.
Perform inspections on raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products to confirm adherence to quality standards.
Environmental and Safety Standards:
Monitor compliance with environmental regulations related to chemical handling, water treatment, and waste disposal.
Ensure that dyeing processes comply with safety standards, including the use of non-toxic dyes and the safe handling of chemicals.
Implement and monitor sustainable practices in the dyeing process, including water conservation and waste reduction.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed records of audit findings, corrective actions, and compliance documentation.
Provide regular reports on compliance status, including any ongoing issues, corrective measures, and audit schedules.
Collaborate with management to develop action plans and timelines for resolving non-compliance issues.
Supplier and Vendor Audits:
Conduct audits at supplier and vendor facilities to ensure their practices align with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Evaluate suppliers on their adherence to quality, sustainability, and ethical labor practices.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to support continuous improvement in compliance and quality.
Training and Development:
Conduct training sessions for production staff, suppliers, and vendors on compliance standards, safe practices, and quality requirements.
Stay updated on industry best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in fabric dyeing and production.
Develop and implement training materials and manuals to promote compliance and quality awareness.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
Identify potential risks associated with fabric and dyeing processes, including chemical hazards and environmental impacts.
Implement risk mitigation strategies to reduce the likelihood of non-compliance or quality issues.
Monitor and update risk assessment procedures as needed to reflect changing regulations and standards.
Continuous Improvement:
Work closely with production and quality teams to develop improvement initiatives for fabric quality and dyeing efficiency.
Provide recommendations for adopting new technologies or processes that improve compliance and reduce environmental impact.
Monitor the impact of implemented improvements on product quality, sustainability, and compliance outcomes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Proven experience in fabric quality control, dyeing, or compliance auditing within the têxtile industry.
Strong knowledge of industry standards, environmental regulations, and quality control in dyeing and têxtile manufacturing.
Familiarity with sustainable practices and regulations related to chemical handling, waste management, and safety in têxtile production.
Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain compliance standards and processes to various stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving compliance issues.
Certification in quality control, compliance, or environmental management is a plus.
