The job description of a ward boy typically includes the following responsibilities:
**Patient Care**:Assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and feeding.
Turning and positioning patients to prevent bedsores and improve comfort.
Helping patients with mobility, such as transferring from beds to wheelchairs or assisting in walking.

**Cleaning and Maintenance**:Keeping the patient rooms and common areas clean and organized.
Changing bed linens and ensuring the overall cleanliness of patient beds and equipment.
Disposing of medical waste and maintaining infection control protocols.

**Supply Management**:Stocking patient rooms with necessary supplies such as bedpans, urinals, tissues, and toiletries.
Ensuring that medical equipment and supplies are available and functional for patient use.

**Transportation**:Assisting in transporting patients to different areas of the hospital for tests, procedures, or consultations.
Pushing wheelchairs or stretchers as needed.

**Assistance to Medical Staff**:Helping nurses and doctors with minor tasks, such as collecting samples or delivering specimens to the laboratory.
Providing support during medical procedures or treatments, as directed by healthcare professionals.

**Patient Comfort and Safety**:Responding to patient requests and addressing their comfort needs promptly.
Alerting medical staff if a patient's condition changes or if there is an emergency.

**Communication**:Communicating effectively with patients, families, and medical staff to ensure proper coordination of care.
Reporting any concerns or observations regarding patient condition or safety to the appropriate personnel.

**Basic Administrative Tasks**:Assisting in maintaining patient records and documentation.
Directing visitors to appropriate areas and providing general information.

**Adherence to Regulations**:Following hospital policies, safety guidelines, and infection control protocols.
Adhering to patient confidentiality and privacy regulations.

**Team Collaboration**:Working as part of a healthcare team and cooperating with nurses, doctors, and other hospital staff to provide comprehensive patient care.

**Salary**: ₹8,086.00 - ₹15,957.94 per month
