WSP ME team has ambitions to significantly expand our energy team. We have a range of roles available to suit people at all points of their career and development. We are seeking talented engineers with core expertise in Electrical domain with proven experience on HV Sub-stations, Wind and Solar Power Plants.

Role relating to **Associate Director/Associate/**Principal Engineer - Electrical **for Power, Water, Renewables, and Transmission & Distribution projects.

This includes (but not limited to):

- Create conceptual engineering drawings & designs (calculations), BOQs for Extra High Voltage (EHV) projects, covering both Air Insulated Substations (AIS) and Gas Insulated Substations (GIS), ranging from 11kV up to 400kV (with a particular emphasis on 132kV voltages and above).
- Perform design review for electrical deliverables related to power, water, renewables and T&D projects while acting as a lead and directly interfacing with clients.
- Operate as part of a team of engineers and designers in carrying out electrical design review and basic engineering works including sizing calculations, layouts, BOQ and provide necessary technical inputs to designers, procurement assistance in compliance with tender specifications and design basis, within budgeted man-hour and project schedules.
- Preparation of project specifications for material and equipment purchase and installation.
- Experience in basic/detail engineering for renewable energy and battery storage electrical collection systems.
- Delivery of accurate and thorough designs that will meet industry standards and specifications, and meet good engineering practice with excellent constructability.
- Review of internal and external designs for code compliance, good design practice and constructability.
- Resolving site queries during the construction phase of projects.
- Maintaining complete project documentation with respect to substation design and construction, including all completion packages, as-built requirements and return data information.
- Making and maintaining appropriate commitments to project teams and coordinating design activities with multi-disciplined project team members.
- Assist in the preparation of technical inquiry requests (Inquiry Requisitions) to vendors, participate in the technical evaluation of vendor bid offers. Partake in Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), review vendor drawings and documents. Review design calculations, ensure vendor equipment specifications meet with client equipment specifications and are within budgeted costs.
- Assist in drafting, design, review and documentation for various projects simultaneously.
- Contribute to the proposal and bidding work as and when required.
- Collaborate with WSP ME office on project activities.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members.
- Engage in training sessions and meetings dedicated to addressing targeted organizational initiatives.
- Ability to lead the projects and deal the client with hands on experience in project management processes/activities.
- Willingness to visit client offices/project sites in ME as and when required.

**Qualifications**
- Possess a Graduate or Post Graduate Degree in Electrical engineering from an accredited institution.
- Preferably familiar with ME projects. Experience of working in a lead role on large size capital projects in India/ME while the ME experience will be an added advantage.
- Experience in Power, Water and Renewable e.g. solar, wind and BESS projects is preferred.
- Familiarity with software tools like Auto CAD, ETAP, PSS/E, ASPEN will be an added advantage.
- Experience in design of OHTL/UG Cables will be an added advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.
