Electrical Assistant

The **Electrical Assistant** will support the electrical team in the operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. The role involves assisting with electrical installations, troubleshooting, and providing support to senior electricians or electrical engineers in a variety of tasks. This position is suitable for individuals with 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in electrical work and a background in ITI or a diploma in electrical engineering.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Electrical Installations and Maintenance**:

- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, wiring, and equipment.
- Help with the installation of electrical panels, circuit breakers, and other electrical components in industrial or commercial settings.
- Perform routine maintenance checks to ensure all electrical systems are operating efficiently.
- **Troubleshooting and Repairs**:

- Diagnose electrical issues in machinery, wiring, or equipment, and assist in troubleshooting and repairs.
- Support senior electrical staff in identifying and resolving electrical faults or breakdowns.
- Assist in the testing and replacement of faulty electrical components.
- **Safety Compliance**:

- Ensure that electrical work adheres to safety standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., IS, IEC, OSHA standards).
- Help maintain a safe working environment by following proper electrical safety protocols and using safety gear (PPE).
- Report safety hazards or any incidents promptly to the supervisor.
- **Documentation and Record Keeping**:

- Maintain accurate records of electrical inspections, maintenance, and repair work performed.
- Assist in updating electrical schematics or blueprints as required.
- Prepare daily or weekly reports on tasks performed, tools used, and any issues encountered.
- **Material and Equipment Management**:

- Assist in managing electrical supplies, tools, and equipment required for daily operations.
- Ensure that all tools and materials are in good working condition and properly stored.
- Help with inventory checks and ordering replacement parts when necessary.
- **Assist Senior Technicians**:

- Provide general assistance to electricians and electrical engineers, helping with tasks as directed.
- Learn from more experienced team members and develop electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Support in the planning and execution of electrical projects as per supervisor instructions.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- **Educational Qualifications**:

- ITI (Industrial Training Institute) in Electrical Engineering or a **Diploma in Electrical Engineering**.
- Relevant certifications or training in electrical systems and safety practices are an advantage.
- **Experience**:

- 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance, installations, or repairs.
- Familiarity with common electrical tools, equipment, and machinery.
- **Skills**:

- Basic knowledge of electrical circuits, wiring, and electrical components.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Good understanding of electrical safety standards and practices.
- Ability to perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on electrical systems.
- Proficiency in using electrical test equipment (e.g., multimeters, insulation testers, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow safety protocols.
- **Personal Attributes**:

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and independently when required.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems.

**Additional Skills (Optional)**:

- Knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) or SCADA systems.
- Experience in industrial electrical systems or automation.
- Forklift or electrical equipment handling certification.

**Working Conditions**:

- Ability to work in industrial or commercial environments, including plants, factories, or construction sites.
- Some travel may be required for site visits or project work.
- Willingness to work in shifts or on-call duties, depending on operational requirements.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
