**Job Purpose**:
To ensure that all cast components manufactured meet the required visual and dimensional quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements before approval for further processing or dispatch.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Visual Inspection of Castings**:

- Perform detailed visual inspection of castings to identify surface defects such as blowholes, cracks, misruns, shrinkage, and cold shuts.
- Ensure all casting surfaces meet the required aesthetic and structural standards.
- Classify defects based on severity and document findings.
- **Dimensional Inspection**:

- Measure casting dimensions using tools like Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM (if applicable), and templates.
- Compare results with engineering drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Record dimensional data and maintain inspection records.
- **Quality Reporting**:

- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, rejection reports, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and final quality reports.
- Ensure traceability of inspected components and maintain proper documentation.
- **Process Monitoring**:

- Monitor casting and fettling processes for conformance to quality standards.
- Provide feedback to production in case of non-conformance or potential quality issues.
- **Collaboration**:

- Coordinate with production, design, and QA departments to resolve quality-related issues.
- Support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- **Tools & Calibration**:

- Ensure measuring instruments are calibrated and in good working condition.
- Report any damaged or inaccurate measuring tools to the QA manager.
- **Compliance**:

- Ensure adherence to ISO standards and internal quality procedures.
- Follow all safety and environmental regulations during inspection activities.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Diploma / ITI / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgy.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in quality inspection in a foundry or casting environment.
- Strong knowledge of casting defects, NDT basics (if applicable), and GD&T.
- Proficiency in using measuring instruments and reading engineering drawings.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality assurance.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
