Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
- Prepare and review tax documents required for reclaims and relief at source
- Ensure that reclaims are filed timely
- Work closely with regional representatives of the funds.
- Liaisons with sub-custodian, tax advisor and tax authorities as needed
- Maintain historical documentation.
- Clear backlog of forms on file.

WORK EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:
- 2-4 years of experience with federal tax treatment of securities and taxation of mutual funds is preferred
- Strong understanding of Tax laws and withholdings taxes
- Knowledge about the Double Tax Treaty Agreements, International Taxation, Custody Operations, Relief at source and Reclaim
- Experience in International Taxation and Tax Treaty is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical skills, Detail orientation, service commitment, and solid organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications

FORMAL EDUCATION: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)
- A Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance and/or equivalent work experience.
- Semi qualified CA / Semi qualified CMA
- Financial services industry related certifications.

LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)
- None
