Role description:
As a logistics Incharge, you will be responsible to ensure efficient management of inventory, transportation, and delivery operations to support seamless customer experiences at a luxury furniture store. This role involves overseeing supply chain activities, coordinating with vendors and customers, and maintaining high-quality standards for handling and delivering premium products.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management
- Supervise the storage, organization, and movement of furniture in the warehouse.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability without overstocking.
- Conduct regular stock audits to identify discrepancies and maintain accurate records.
- Implement proper handling protocols to preserve product quality.

Transportation and Delivery Coordination
- Plan and oversee the scheduling and dispatching of deliveries to customers.
- Coordinate with third-party logistics providers to ensure timely and safe delivery.
- Optimize delivery routes to minimize costs and improve efficiency.
- Ensure vehicles are properly maintained and adhere to safety standards.

Customer Interaction
- Communicate directly with customers to confirm delivery details and timelines.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries, concerns, or complaints related to delivery delays, damages, or scheduling conflicts.
- Provide updates to customers on delivery status, offering proactive solutions to any potential issues.
- Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to ensure alignment on customer expectations and delivery commitments.
- Act as the point of contact for VIP customers to provide personalized delivery arrangements.

Supply Chain and Vendor Relations
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely receipt of goods and resolve any logístical issues.
- Maintain strong relationships with shipping and freight companies.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure cost-effective services.

Process Improvement
- Analyze logistics operations to identify inefficiencies and propose process enhancements.
- Implement and maintain a tracking system to monitor shipments and deliveries in real-time.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices for luxury goods logistics.

Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in logistics, preferably in the luxury goods or furniture industry.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software and inventory management tools.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail with the ability to handle high-value inventory.
- Knowledge of local transportation laws and regulations.
