**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Library Science (B.Lib.Sc / M.Lib.Sc) from a recognized university.
- UGC/AICTE-approved credentials preferred.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a school library, preferably in a CBSE-affiliated institution.
- Familiarity with library software and cataloging systems (e.g., Koha, Libsys).
- Strong organizational and cataloguing skills.
- Ability to support and promote reading habits among K-12 students.
- Good communication skills in English and Hindi (Gujarati proficiency is an added advantage).
- Basic knowledge of IT tools, digital resources, and e-library management.
- Understanding of CBSE curriculum and academic cycles.
- A child-centric approach and enthusiasm for working with students of all age groups.
- Strong work ethics and high work quality standards

**Responsibilities**:

- Organising, maintaining, and updating the school library collection, including print and digital resources.
- Implementing proper systems for cataloguing, classification, and issuing/returning of books using library software.
- Assisting students in selecting appropriate reading material suited to their age, interest, and reading level.
- Supporting teachers with teaching resources, reference materials, and research tools for classroom instruction.
- Conducting library orientation and teaching basic library skills to students.
- Organizing reading clubs, author interactions, book fairs, storytelling sessions, and literary events.
- Promoting reading culture through monthly reading challenges, thematic displays, and book reviews.
- Aligning reading programs with CBSE’s recommendations on language development and value education.
- Maintaining and promoting access to digital books, academic databases, and online reference tools.
- Training students and staff in safe and effective information search strategies, plagiarism awareness, and citation methods.
- Preparing library reports, inventories, budgets, and purchase plans.
- Ensuring the proper care and conservation of library materials.
- Collaborating with school leadership to develop library policies and goals.
- Communicating deadlines, timelines, lead times and priorities to team members
- Planning work schedules ahead of time in concurrence with team members and other leaders
