Microsoft Services India Global Delivery delivers end-to-end solutions by enabling accelerated adoption and productive use of Microsoft technologies. We are looking for exceptional architects who have passion to lead large complex innovative programs for customers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead client engagements from presales to delivery and ensure success for our customers.
- Collaborate with enterprise customers or partner with Area Architects to scope and define requirements, architect/design solutions, and deliver Azure based solutions for customers.
- Ensure all solutions exhibit high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, repeatability, reusability, and reliability
- Utilize a blend of technical and business acumen, strategy, and customer facing experience to drive deep envisioning discussions with customer.
- Develop deep relationships with key Microsoft stakeholders/customers decision makers (both Business and IT).
- Connect with Engineering team to remove key blockers in solution delivery.
- Proactively identify opportunities for integrating modern architecture patterns and emerging technical solutions into the current design
- Evaluate, identify, mitigate, and eliminate risk, provide guidance, and propose immediate solutions
- Articulate the value of the solution architecture, design and defend technical decisions with data points and clarity.
- Explore upcoming N+1 Technologies on Azure and create technical roadmap for customer engagements.
- Collaborate with other Architects and technology stakeholders to develop complex end-to-end Enterprise grade solutions.
- Coach and enable your team members to accelerate solution to production, by providing clarity on architectural design, technical recommendations and risks.
- Develops a network of internal/external relationships with senior-level decision makers to build influence in addressing problems/blockers and facilitating additional views on the matter of interest. Acts as an advisor to external stakeholders. Provides direction to facilitate relationships between others. Stays up to date on Microsoft’s technologies, products, and services to communicate Microsoft's mission, strategy, and capabilities.

**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 15+ years’ experience in technology solutions delivery.- OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years’ experience in technology solutions delivery
- OR equivalent experience.
- 6+ years as architect or equivalent experience
- Technical or Professional Certification in Azure Cloud or any other cloud.

Technology Areas

**Application Development**

**Required**
- Extensive experience in implementing, operating, customizing, tuning, and troubleshooting Cloud solutions.
- Designing scalable solutions on cloud platforms with focus on performance and resiliency, utilizing microservices architectures
- Application design patterns, and anti-patterns, such as MVC, CQRS and/or SAGA
- Interacting with and querying databases and/or NoSQL datastores
- Application monitoring and end to end telemetry
- Source code management using Git or other source control technologies such as TFS
- Management, monitoring and operations at-scale

**Preferred**
- Open-source technologies and frameworks
- Comprehensive expertise in microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Proficient with Kubernetes ecosystem such as DAPR, ISTIO, HELM, Linkerd.
- Security and governance with a strong proficiency in defining and modelling security baselines
- Proficient with one or more Cloud Databases such as Azure SQL, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MariaDB
- Azure Cosmos DB, database scalability and availability
