Music Teacher

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Curriculum Development and Delivery**:

- Develop and implement a dynamic music curriculum that aligns with educational standards and school objectives.
- Teach music theory, history, and performance skills across a range of instruments and voice.
- Adapt lessons to cater to the varying abilities and interests of students, ensuring all students are engaged and challenged.
- Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and resources to enhance student learning and participation.
- **Performance and Ensemble Direction**:

- Direct school choirs, bands, orchestras, and other musical ensembles.
- Organize and conduct student performances, concerts, and recitals throughout the school year.
- Encourage and prepare students for participation in external music competitions, festivals, and examinations.
- Collaborate with other teachers and departments to integrate music into broader school activities and events.
- **Assessment and Evaluation**:

- Assess and monitor student progress through regular testing, assignments, and performance evaluations.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and parents regarding progress and areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of student achievements and participate in parent-teacher conferences as required.
- Adjust instructional strategies based on assessment outcomes to support individual student growth.
- **Classroom Management**:

- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and creativity.
- Manage classroom behavior in a way that fosters respect, responsibility, and a sense of community among students.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students during music classes and related activities.
- **Resource Management**:

- Maintain and care for school-owned musical instruments and equipment.
- Manage the music budget effectively, including purchasing new instruments, sheet music, and other resources as needed.
- Keep an inventory of all music-related materials and ensure they are stored and used properly.
