**Job Description: Chemistry Teacher**

**Position**: Visiting faculty - Chemistry

**Location**: Bermiok, Sikkim

**Employment Type**: Part time

**Reports To**: Head, School of Health Science & Technology

**Job Summary**: The Chemistry Guest Faculty is responsible for delivering high-quality chemistry education to university students, enhancing their understanding of chemical concepts, and fostering a stimulating learning environment. This role includes preparing and presenting lectures, designing assessments, and participating in departmental activities to support the academic mission of the university.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Teaching and Instruction**:

- Deliver engaging and informative lectures on various chemistry topics.
- Prepare and update course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assignments.
- Use diverse teaching methods and technologies to facilitate effective learning.
- **Curriculum Development**:

- Collaborate with the chemistry department to develop and refine the curriculum.
- **Student Assessment and Evaluation**:

- Design and administer assessments, such as quizzes, exams, and laboratory reports, to evaluate student understanding and progress.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback on student performance and assignments.
- Maintain accurate records of student grades and attendance.
- **Administrative Duties**:

- Participate in university committees and contribute to institutional governance as needed.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to course management, such as grade submission and course evaluations.

**Qualifications**:

- A Master's degree in Chemistry or a closely related field is required. A Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related discipline is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of chemistry concepts and the ability to convey them effectively.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and tools.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹600.00 - ₹650.00 per hour
