**Fire Safety Management**:

- Develop and implement fire safety policies, procedures, and emergency response plans for the University campus.
- Conduct regular fire drills, safety inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with fire safety standards.

**Incident Response**:

- Serve as the lead officer for all fire-related emergencies, coordinating the response with local fire departments and other emergency services.
- Ensure prompt and efficient action in the event of a fire, minimizing damage and safeguarding lives.

**Staff Training and Awareness**:

- Provide fire safety training to staff, faculty, and students, including proper use of fire extinguishers, evacuation procedures, and first response actions.
- Raise awareness about fire prevention and safety practices across the campus.

**Fire Equipment Maintenance**:

- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and inspection of all fire safety equipment, including fire alarms, extinguishers, sprinkler systems, and emergency exits.
- Ensure regular checks and updates of fire suppression systems.

**Regulatory Compliance**:

- Ensure the University meets all local, state, and national fire safety regulations.
- Work closely with regulatory authorities to ensure timely inspections and compliance with relevant laws.

**Fire Risk Mitigation**:

- Identify potential fire hazards and recommend necessary improvements to building designs, electrical systems, and safety protocols.

**Develop a strategy for continuous improvement in fire safety practices.**
- The addition of the Chief Fire Officer role is crucial to strengthening our fire safety measures and ensuring the well-being of everyone on campus.
