**The Role**

The Salesforce Solutions Architect will develop a deep understanding of operational flows and touchpoints across a multitude of business workstreams; support the development of product roadmaps; and define, maintain and improve architectural documentation.

This is a key and highly visible role which will serve in a leadership capacity in strategic and transformative technology initiatives across Veeva.

**What You’ll Do**
- Responsible for partnering with Technology leaders, Business Analysts, development teams, business SMEs & stakeholders to share awareness of current and future design opportunities and to formulate mitigation plans for potential design issues.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and 3rd-party teams to govern solution construction and guide overall technical implementation.
- Create architectural documentation(s) - detailing solutions as reference for other platform team members and partners.
- Translate functional business needs into efficient, well-architected and scalable solutions which leverage appropriate technology toolsets. Solicit and obtain agreement from IT and Business Leadership on architectural design recommendations put forth.
- Work with Development teams to perform design reviews of in-progress builds, ensuring development work aligns with agreed functional requirements, approved technical designs and applicable coding standards.
- Document current and future state process models and develop and present L1/L2 technical specifications.
- Partner with IT Enterprise Architecture team to ensure understanding of, and adherence to, corporate policies and accepted architectural standards in areas of security, integration, data, privacy, and compliance.
- Contribute to the Veeva Architectural discipline by working with peer teams to continuously develop and refine standards, patterns, models and policies.
- Possess excellent analytical and presentation skills and be able to communicate findings in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Be comfortable with rapidly changing and sometimes ambiguous work assignments.
- Be a results-driven self-starter who takes initiative, solicits and listens to feedback from a variety of sources, and can work independently in a fast-paced, global environment.

**Requirements**:

- Engineering Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or a Master’s degree in Computer Applications or Mathematics
- Practical experience with SaaS architectures and design patterns including SOAP and REST API integrations. Experience with one or more iPaaS integration platforms is desirable.
- Experience utilizing source control platforms and implementing efficient CI/CD frameworks supporting effective DevOps procedures.
- Strong analytical skills: Ability to collect, organize, and analyze data; summarize findings, derive conclusions, and present recommendations.
- Proficiency in facilitation, influencing, and negotiation in a diverse global organization with competing stakeholder requirements.
- Broad technical knowledge of industry and technology trends and a strong external perspective of current and upcoming developments in the technology space.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify and clearly communicate complex concepts and information to diverse audiences with varying degrees of technical understanding. Ability to inspire stakeholder confidence in solutions being put forth.
- Must be able to organize & prioritize a high volume of tasks with potentially conflicting demands and competing timelines.
- Full SDLC experience (requirements gathering through production deployment) utilizing JIRA or similar ALM tools.

**Nice to Have**
- Knowledge of the cloud software development industry and corresponding business practices.
- Understanding of integration platforms like Boomi
- Experience working effectively in a multi-regional organization spread across several time zones with numerous autonomous business divisions.
- Experience defining data governance models/processes and implementing proper management frameworks.
- Exposure to data warehousing, ETL/ELT, AI & designing advanced analytics.
- Ability to execute effectively across multiple project delivery methodologies, such as Agile, Iterative, Waterfall, etc.
