**Job Summary**:
The Commis 1 - Chinese Cuisine is responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of authentic Chinese dishes, under the supervision of senior chefs. This role requires basic knowledge of Chinese ingredients, cooking techniques, and kitchen organization. The position supports overall kitchen efficiency and ensures high food quality and hygiene standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and cook Chinese dishes such as stir-fries, noodles, fried rice, soups, dim sum, and steamed or wok-based items.
- Follow standard recipes and chef instructions to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
- Handle mise en place (pre-preparation work), including cutting vegetables, marinating proteins, and preparing sauces.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of your work area and kitchen equipment.
- Assist in setting up and closing down the Chinese kitchen station.
- Operate kitchen equipment like woks, steamers, fryers, and rice cookers safely and correctly.
- Support the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations.
- Monitor stock levels for Chinese ingredients and report shortages.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation standards.
- Minimize food waste and practice portion control.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Culinary diploma or training in Asian/Chinese cuisine (preferred).
- 1-2 years of experience in a professional Chinese kitchen.
- Familiarity with traditional Chinese cooking techniques such as wok-frying, steaming, deep-frying, and sautéing.
- Basic knowledge of Chinese sauces, spices, and ingredients.
- Good knife skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.

**Working Conditions**:

- Fast-paced, high-heat kitchen environment.
- Long hours of standing, bending, and lifting.
- Shift work including weekends and public holidays.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
