Galata Chemicals Ind Pvt Ltd is hiring a Financial Controller for their Head Office in Andheri Mumbai

**Responsibilities**:

- Act as the principal advisor to the board of directors and senior management on corporate governance matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Organize and facilitate board meetings, committee meetings, and general meetings of shareholders, including preparing agendas, drafting minutes, and coordinating logistics.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date corporate records, including registers of members, directors, and significant shareholders, as well as the company's statutory books and filings.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of statutory returns, disclosures, and reports with regulatory authorities, such as the Companies Registry and Securities and Exchange Commission.
- Liaise with external advisors, including legal counsel, auditors, and regulatory agencies, to address corporate governance and compliance issues and facilitate audits and inspections.
- Support the company's corporate transactions, such as mergers, acquisitions, and capital raisings, by ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and coordinating due diligence activities.
- Monitor changes in legislation, regulations, and industry standards relevant to the company's operations and advise management on their potential impact.

**Qualification-**
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field; additional qualifications in corporate governance or company secretarial practice are preferred.
- Qualified Company Secretary with membership in a recognized professional body (e.g., Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators).
- Proven experience in a company secretarial role, preferably in a manufacturing company or a related industry.
- Thorough knowledge of corporate law, governance principles, and regulatory requirements applicable to manufacturing companies.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in record-keeping, document preparation, and compliance reporting.
- Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
