**What you’ll be doing...**

The Principal Engr-Systems Engrg will provide RAN/Core Wireless network domain expertise across Nokia, Ericsson & Samsung platforms to Agile domain teams to deliver strategic initiatives for Verizon to build reliable wireless 4G/5G products and services. We are looking for a dynamic and collaborative individual who will partner well with Verizon Network product partners, IT, & Network headquarters and contribute to the growth and evolution of Next Gen OSS for Network systems.You’ll be part of the Network & Technology IT Organization focusing on end-to-end architecture.

**Responsibilities**:

- Partner and Drive Vendor software releases to develop specifications, decoders/cheat sheets for existing/new network builds, enhancements; revise and refine as required to enable system performance users and IT Agile team.
- Troubleshoot and engineer RAN and Core apps for Wireless system performance ART
- Drive Vz product roadmap to implement new KPI’s and to perform optimisation on existing KPI’s
- Leading small to medium scale projects for RF engineering and related domain team delivery with mínimal direction.
- Participate in product feature implementation, both independently and in cooperation with the team to meet business commitment and time to market.- Reviewing design to make sure design is aligned with the North Star Architecture.
- Creating architectures and designs for new solutions around existing and new problem space.
- Driving Technology and with best software engineering practices to impact on the entire architecture eco-system of the product.Providing technical guidance to cross-functional teams in crafting solutions and describing the impact of new solutions to systems and processes.
- Reviewing design to make sure design is aligned with the North Star Architecture.
- Creating architectures and designs for new solutions around existing and new problem space.
- Driving Technology and with best software engineering practices to impact on the entire architecture eco-system of the product.

**What we’re looking for...**

You'll need to have:

- Degree in Communication Engineering / IT /Computer Science or equivalent education with 8+ or more years of relevant work experience.
- Championed medium to complex network builds in collaboration with Partners for emerging Network technologies such 4G, 5G and MEC
- Work experience in Wireless design/planning/performance/troubleshooting is key
- Experience on Network Domain.
- Experience on providing solutions / Architecture for Modernisation / Migration projects.
- Solid knowledge and hands on experience in RAN & Core Wireless technologies and Wireless RAN Devices OSS platforms of Nokia, Ericsson, Samsung etc.
- High proficiency in Network Integration / Software releases and Field deployments of RAN(eNB/gNB) and Core(AMF,MME, SPGW) Network elements
- Realtime hands on experience in 4G/5G KPI Implementation and Validation
- Realtime hands on experience to interpret performance(call/network records) and configuration Network data
- Knowledge and experience in Agile methodologies

Even better if you have:

- One or more years of experience in emerging wireless technologies such as Open RAN, 5G Core, Massive IoT and MEC etc
- Expertise in End to End OSS stack
- Good knowledge in 3GPP standards for emerging network technologies
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

**Where you’ll be working**: In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

**Scheduled Weekly Hours**: 40
