**Job Title: CA - Auditor (Tea Garden)**

**Location: - Tea Company in Kolkata**

**Job Summary**

The Auditor in a Tea Garden plays a crucial role in ensuring financial transparency, accuracy, and compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies. The Auditor will examine financial records, internal processes, and operational practices of the tea garden to identify inefficiencies, fraud risks, or discrepancies and recommend corrective actions. 15 days visit in tea garden (Assam)

**Responsibilities**
- Review and audit financial statements, including income, expense, payroll, and inventory records of the tea garden.
- Ensure the accuracy of financial transactions and compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Conduct audits of tea garden operations to ensure compliance with internal controls and industry best practices.
- Analyze procurement, production, and sales processes, identifying any deviations from company policies.
- Audit stock levels of tea leaves, fertilizers, equipment, and other supplies.
- Ensure the accuracy of stock records and identify any issues related to theft, waste, or mismanagement.
- Assess the financial and operational risks associated with tea garden activities.
- Identify fraud risks, inefficiencies, and non-compliance areas.
- Recommend mitigation strategies and internal controls to minimize risks.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal control systems within the tea garden.
- Recommend improvements to processes, controls, and policies to enhance efficiency and reduce risks.
- Prepare detailed audit reports for senior management, highlighting key findings, issues, and recommendations.
- Monitor the implementation of recommendations and ensure timely corrective action. - Ensure compliance with local laws, labor regulations, and environmental standards specific to tea gardens.
- Work with the HR department to audit payroll records, worker benefits, and labor law adherence.
- Analyze cost management practices within the tea garden, including budgets for equipment, maintenance, and labor.
- Ensure that budget allocations are appropriate and that there is no overspending or under-utilization of resources.
- Work closely with various departments such as finance, production, and HR to collect data and understand processes.
- Communicate audit results and collaborate on the implementation of corrective measures.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certifications such as CA (Qualified or semi qualified)
- At least 5 years of experience in auditing, preferably in the agriculture or plantation sector.
- Knowledge of tea garden operations and related financial practices is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in auditing software and Microsoft Office Suite.

**Work Environment**
- Field visits to tea garden locations will be required.
- The role involves working in both office and outdoor environments.
- Must be willing to travel between Kolkata and tea estate.
