**Senior DevOps Engineer Job Description**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Cloud Architecture & Infrastructure Management**:
Design and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, focusing on scalability, cost optimization, and high availability.

Implement and manage VPCs, IAM policies, security groups, load balancers, and other cloud-native services to ensure secure and efficient resource management.

Develop strategies for managing and optimizing cloud resources to minimize costs while ensuring performance and reliability.

**Automation of CI/CD Pipelines**:
Lead the implementation and optimization of CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or AWS CodePipeline to automate the software development and deployment process.

Promote the use of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and AWS CloudFormation to automate the provisioning of infrastructure and configuration management.

**Containerization & Orchestration**:
Manage container orchestration and microservices management on Amazon ECS or Kubernetes clusters to ensure high availability and scalability.

**Security Integration**:
Champion the integration of DevSecOps practices, ensuring security is embedded into the CI/CD pipeline and the overall development lifecycle.

Implement best practices for secure coding, access management, data encryption, and vulnerability management using tools like Vault, AWS KMS, and IAM policies.

**Collaboration & Mentorship**:
Collaborate closely with the development and operations teams to define architecture and deployment strategies.

Provide mentorship and guidance to junior DevOps engineers, helping them grow their skills in cloud infrastructure, automation, and security.

**Monitoring & Performance Optimization**:
Design and implement robust monitoring solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana and ELK Stack to ensure system health, performance, and availability.

Develop proactive monitoring, logging, and alerting strategies to identify issues and ensure smooth system operations.

**Incident Management & Troubleshooting**:
Lead the investigation and troubleshooting of issues in production and pre-production environments, ensuring mínimal downtime and swift resolution.

Implement disaster recovery and high availability strategies, ensuring business continuity during system failures.

**Cost Optimization & Efficiency**:
Work with product teams to optimize cloud infrastructure costs by identifying and implementing strategies for resource utilization and scaling.

Promote the use of serverless architectures, containerization, and autoscaling to achieve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

**Documentation & Best Practices**:
Maintain up-to-date documentation on infrastructure, deployment processes, and operational procedures.

Define and promote best practices for DevOps, automation, and cloud architecture within the organization.

**Required Skills & Experience**:
4+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or DevOps Architect, with a strong background in managing cloud infrastructure and automation.

Expertise in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, IAM, VPC, and ECS.

Strong experience with CI/CD pipeline tools like Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, and Docker for containerization.

Expertise in Kubernetes for container orchestration, along with hands-on experience managing Kubernetes clusters.

Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform and CloudFormation, for infrastructure provisioning and management.

Experience implementing DevSecOps practices, integrating security into CI/CD workflows, and managing AWS KMS, IAM, and Vault.

Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or ELK Stack.

Strong experience in troubleshooting production environments, with a focus on high availability and disaster recovery.

Ability to work in an Agile environment and experience with version control systems such as Git.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for mentoring and fostering a DevOps culture.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
AWS DevOps Professional certification or other cloud certifications (Google Cloud, Azure).
