We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Associate, Financial Planning & Analysis to join our Insight Investment, technology team. This role is located in Chennai, TN - HYBRID.

**In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways**:

- Finance Admin receiving purchase order requests, challenging where necessary and ensuring relevant approvals are obtained.
- Finance Admin reconciling general ledger transactions to ensure coding has been applied correctly by Accounts Payable
- Budget Support - maintaining and updating aspects of the budget based on knowledge gained from Finance Admin duties
- Overtime and Standby Reporting - analysis of overtime and standby costs, reporting on variances and obtaining signoff. Sending outcomes to HR on a timely basis to facilitate payments
- Reconciliations - perform regular reconciliations of system data (Anaplan vs Innate) to support accurate time and cost reporting
- Monthly process - work with others in Technology to ensure accurate capture of headcount and external costs, with appropriate transactions, accruals and prepayments
- Annual process - support the Technology Finance Analyst in analysing and validating the annual budget as it is compiled, gathering data from across Technology to challenge output
- Regular financial reporting - ensure accurate information is available in a timely manner to support the reporting to Technology senior management
- Anaplan - support the Technology Finance Analyst with maintaining headcount and external spend forecast data
- Cost management - be inquisitive and ready to challenge when things don’t look right, to ensure costs are controlled and managed appropriately
- Vendor management - assist with financial and other elements of vendor engagement processes
- Collaborate across Technology, Finance and HR to continuously improve the financial processes for timeliness, accuracy, and efficiency
- Be ready to respond to adhoc requests and adapt as the needs of the department change

**To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following**:

- Demonstrable understanding of accounting concepts - accruals, prepayments
- Financial Services background preferable
- Strong competence with Microsoft tools, e.g. Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, SUMIFs)
- Experience of Anaplan or similar an advantage
- Presentation skills - clear, concise and confident presenter of financial information with a high attention to detail
- Discrete with confidential/sensitive information
- Interest in understanding business and strategic context for financial decisions
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Proactive, enthusiastic with a willingness to learn
