Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE:
Follow Kontoor’s auditing guidelines and carry out factory compliance audits in relation to social, environmental, health and safety concerns. In addition, carry out the Sustainability [Higg FEM] Assessment for Indian region.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

- Include but not limited to_
- Accept audit assignments in India, contact factories and schedule their audits.
- Execute the factory compliance audits.
- Review 3rd party audit reports to determine the factory compliance rating and score.
- Complete the Corrective Action Plan and update Kontoor’s factory profiles based on audit findings.
- Contribute to the development and updating of factory compliance audit documents.
- Participate in project execution and task delivery of compliance audit related programs.
- Assist in training program development for the vendors and Kontoor staff to promote best practices and continuous improvement.
- Maintain close contacts with NGOs, labor authorities & other relevant organizations to keep up to date on labor laws, government policies and industry intelligence.
- Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk. Investigate and resolve alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and code of conducts.
- Collaborate with stakeholders in implementing and overseeing corrective action plans that will lead to issue resolution and prevention.

WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:

- Include but not limited to_
- _ 5+ years of experience working in the area of factory compliance_
- _ An in-depth understanding of the industry's rules, guidelines, and regulations in India._
- _ Good communication & inter-personal skills._
- _ Proactive in accepting new task assignments and challenges_
- _ Fluent in written English and good at oral English._
- _ Good command of MS Outlook, Excel, Word, etc._
- _ High degree of accuracy and detail minded_

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
- _ Bachelor/Master degree from reputed Institute._
- _ Completion of relevant industry-specific certification, such as a certified internal auditor and/or h_aving passed the Higg FEM verifier examination is considered a plus._
