Visual UI Designers are experienced design specialists who are capable of producing compelling design concepts, defining brand standards and stylistic guidelines, and delivering high quality, customer-focused results. They are expected to lead Amazon’s visual design experience by driving the creative execution of the Amazon brand in their projects.
Visual Designers develop and maintain the highest design standards and act responsibly in their execution of these standards, as well strive to continuously innovate and improve. They interact with the relevant business, development, project/program management groups, other designers and executives to succeed. While our VXDs are passionate about design and customer experience, they also possess the business acumen to understand the impact of their efforts within a wider scope and strive to share their general knowledge by proactively interacting with colleagues and teams outside their organization. They evangelize—both within their teams and to partner teams—on the integral role that design plays in upholding the integrity of the Amazon brand and quality of the customer experience

You’ll partner with Appstore design, product and marketing teams to decide what many of our Next Generation products and services will look and behave like on Amazon and Non-Amazon devices.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of experience as a graphic designer, visual designer, or similar with experience in digital and print design
- Design portfolio demonstrating strong visual design skill, relevant experience, and measurable results
- Expert proficiency in the Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects) and Sketch
- 3+ years of experience developing marketing campaigns
- Ability to work independently to troubleshoot technical and creative processes
- Excellent communication (written, verbal, listening), problem solving, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills and the ability to gracefully defend your design decisions to leadership
- Experience maintaining high-quality creative and strong attention to detail across multiple projects operating in a fast-paced, iterative environment
- Ability to work within, and collaborate on, design systems
- Some UX experience with the desire to learn and grow in this area a plus
- Developing branding experiences and guidelines a plus
- Experience as an Illustrator with examples

Key job responsibilities
Help design marketing and promotional materials including banners posters, social media post campaigns or off-site banners, maintaining high productivity, quality standards and meeting turnaround time targets.
Design landing pages for brands, Newsletter, new offers & campaign.
Create & design new ideas & artwork for events & campaigns.
Propose user-centered designs by integrating style guides, creativity, customer feedback, site metrics, and usability findings.
Work closely with Art/Creative Directors, copywriters, graphic designers and site merchandisers to help ensure quality control.
Exhibit an ability to follow creative lead as expected, and also contribute to push the creative envelope in a constructive, memorable way with the customer in mind.
You can also work independently and in ambiguity, managing your own work queue and proactively engage stakeholders directly regarding requirements, definitions, and deadlines
