**Job Description (Staff Nurse)**

**Roles and Responsibilities**

Ø Look after patients, give them medicine, and assist with daily activities.

Ø Examine patients, ask about their health, and keep records of their medical history.

Ø Create plans for each patient based on their needs and medical conditions.

Ø Administer prescribed medications and make sure patients take them correctly.

Ø Teach patients and their families about their health and how to take care of themselves.

Ø Keep accurate records of patients' information, treatments, and progress.

Ø Take care of wounds, change dressings, and monitor their healing.

Ø Coordinate with doctors, therapists, and other healthcare providers for better patient care.

Ø Follow strict measures to prevent infections in the hospital.

Ø Respond quickly to emergencies and provide immediate care.

Ø Encourage healthy habits and educate patients on preventing illnesses.

Ø Follow ethical standards and laws in nursing.

Ø Share important information during shift changes to ensure continuous care.

Ø Guide the patients for their non-medical needs, making sure they are comfortable.

Ø Operate and monitor medical equipment for patient safety.

Ø Stay updated on new medical information and practices through ongoing education.

Ø Be respectful of different cultures and provide care that considers patients' preferences.

Ø Provide emotional support to patients and their families during difficult times.

**Minimum Qualification**

Ø DGNM/B.Sc Nursing Graduate with 1 year experience
