Reading and Interpreting Blueprints: Fitter cum welders must be able to read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine the specifications and requirements of the project.

Material Preparation: They select the appropriate materials, such as metal plates, pipes, or structural components, and prepare them for welding. This may involve cutting, grinding, and shaping materials to the required dimensions.

Welding: Fitter cum welders use various welding techniques, including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), stick welding, and more, to join metal components according to the project's specifications.

Weld Inspection: After welding, they inspect the welds for quality, ensuring they meet the required standards for strength and integrity. They may use non-destructive testing methods like visual inspection, dye penetrant testing, or x-ray testing.

Assembling and Fitting: Fitter cum welders assemble metal components and structures by fitting, aligning, and securing them using bolts, clamps, or other fastening methods. They ensure that the components are accurately positioned before welding.

Equipment Maintenance: They are responsible for maintaining and cleaning welding equipment and tools to ensure they function correctly and safely.

Safety Procedures: Fitter cum welders adhere to strict safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent accidents and injuries while working with hot metals and welding processes.

Problem Solving: They may need to troubleshoot and resolve welding-related issues, such as distortion, poor penetration, or other welding defects.

Welding Quality Control: Ensuring that the welded components meet quality standards and project specifications is a crucial part of their job.

Documentation: They maintain records and documentation related to the welding and fitting processes, including welding procedures, inspection reports, and material certifications.

Collaboration: Fitter cum welders often work closely with engineers, fabricators, and other tradespeople to complete projects effectively and efficiently.

Continuous Learning: Staying updated with new welding techniques, materials, and safety standards is essential in this role.

**Salary**: ₹16,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
