molding operator is responsible for setting up and operating machinery, like injection molding presses, to produce plastic or other material parts by carefully monitoring the molding process, ensuring quality control, and making adjustments as needed to maintain consistent production according to specifications, while adhering to safety guidelines and quality standards within a manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities of a molding operator may include: Machine setup: Installing molds on the machine, adjusting machine parameters like temperature, pressure, and injection time based on work instructions and product specifications. Material handling: Loading plastic pellets or other raw materials into the hopper. Production monitoring: Continuously observing the machine operation, checking for defects, and identifying potential issues. Quality control: Performing visual inspections of molded parts to ensure they meet quality standards, including dimensions and appearance. Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving minor machine malfunctions, reporting more complex issues to maintenance personnel. Data recording: Maintaining production logs, documenting process parameters, and recording scrap rates. Cleaning and maintenance: Regularly cleaning the machine and work area, performing basic preventative maintenance tasks. Following safety procedures: Adhering to all safety protocols and wearing required personal protective equipment. Skills and qualifications for a molding operator: Mechanical aptitude and understanding of basic machine operation principles Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and quality specifications Attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination Basic math skills for calculations related to production Ability to work independently and follow established procedures Physical ability to lift and handle materials as needed Work environments for molding operators typically include: Manufacturing facilities producing plastic parts, automotive components, medical devices, or other molded products Production floor with machinery, potentially noisy environment Exposure to heat generated by molding machines

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
