Akinex Global Supplies LLP is seeking a detail-oriented and meticulous Legal & Compliance Officer to support the legal, regulatory compliance, and insurance functions within the organization. This position will play a critical role in managing legal documentation, compliance programs, insurance claims, and contract management. **RESPONSIBILITIES**:
1. Legal Support and Regulatory Compliance:
a. Provide administrative and drafting support for third-party claims, litigation, mediation, and arbitration.

b. Assist in the drafting, analyzing, reviewing, and preparing contracts, standard terms and conditions, service level agreements, licenses, and other legal documents.

c. Support general business law matters, including corporate governance, procurement, and business law issues.

d. Assist in reviewing and updating internal policies to ensure statutory and legal compliance.

e. Identify, monitor, and address compliance issues requiring follow-up or investigation.

f. Support the implementation of governance, risk, and compliance programs.

g. Collaborate with departments to ensure legal risks are appropriately addressed.

h. Provide standard legal opinions and advice.

i. Assist with updating statutory records and compliance documentation.

2. Insurance and Administration:
a. Administer claims related to vessel sweepings, contaminated cargo, stock theft, and damages to company property.

b. Administer insurance claims for buildings, equipment, goods in transit, and company assets.

c. Follow up with insurers on pending claims to ensure recovery and accurate reporting.

d. Ensure asset additions, including warehouses and office buildings, are properly insured.

e. Oversee policy management and claims related to the company’s insurance policies.

f. Provide monthly insurance reports.

3. Customer On-Boarding and Contract Management:
a. Assist with customer on-boarding, including vetting processes.

b. Review and analyse amendments to Standard Terms and Conditions (STCs) with customers.

c. Review invoices from externally instructed attorneys.

d. Investigate warehouse breaches of contract to protect the company’s interests.

e. Manage contracts and foster good relations with customers and suppliers/service providers.

**DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE**:
1. Education: BCom Law or similar qualification

2. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in a similar role.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
