**Job Description
- Legal Researcher**

**Job Summary**

We’re looking for a Legal Researcher to undertake in-depth research into various aspects of the law and prepare data, articles, documents, cases and more for the firm’s lawyers.

**Job responsibilities**
- Would be required to assist in all legal matters that the firm is handling as well as client relations.
- Conducting legal research on matters pertaining to company’s requirement.
- Would be required to assist in negotiation, preparing, structuring and documenting of legal contracts pertaining to company's services & legal matter.
- Would be responsible for filing & reviewing legal documents, and processing.
- Daily Reporting to your immediate Reporting Head & Management with required, pertinent reports from time to time.
- Any other duty assigned to you by the Management from time to time.
- Conducting interviews with attorneys, judges, court staff, and other individuals who may have knowledge of relevant issues
- Preparing briefing memos, reports, and other written materials summarizing research findings
- Drafting motions, briefs, petitions, and pleadings in support of litigation efforts
- Writing legal briefs that present arguments based on research findings
- Maintaining a database of legal research materials for use by attorneys and other members of the legal profession
- Preparing transcripts of court proceedings and other official documents
- Identifying relevant legal precedents and associated case law for use in legal arguments or briefs
- Conducting preliminary research to identify relevant issues and establish a framework for further research

**Skills & Qualification Requirement**
- Should have minimum of 5 years of legal practice
- Qualification, requirement of LLB, LLM preferred
- Should be highly competent in drafting of legal documents
- Proficient speaking and writing skills in English/Hindi/Punjabi
- Updated knowledge of legal provisions/case law
- Critical thinking, time management. Organisation

**Job Type**:

- Industrial Area Phase 1, Chandigarh, Chandigarh: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
